Summer camps in the New Smyrna Beach area offer children the opportunity to make new memories, meet new people and make life-long friends. The Marine Discovery Center’s summer camp program is designed for children to experience the water through hands-on, feet-wet programs. For those who are more art-centric, the Atlantic Center for the Arts offers a summer camp for children.
The Hub on Canal also hosts a summer art camp just for kids located right on Canal Street in downtown New Smyrna Beach. Hub kids, get your summer fun on!

Learn to Surf!
Surfing is a favorite pastime and the locals have the scoop on where to catch the best wave. New Smyrna Beach is the perfect place for experts and amateurs alike. With rock ledges 4 - 5 miles offshore, the wave breaks are plentiful, but swimmers are protected from dangerous undertows. Beginners like our beaches because they can learn the sport in safe waters.
Each summer, New Smyrna Beach is flooded with surfers as the American Professional Surfing Association holds one of its premier contests. If you don’t know how to surf, don’t sweat it! Surf lessons are available for all ages. Jimmy Lane Surfing Academy offers classes on a daily and weekly basis and is open to all ages and all levels of students. Surfin' NSB also offers surfing lessons, and their instructors will even come to you!

Go Karts!
After a day spent at the beach, check out our area’s largest go-kart track at ¼-mile long at Go-Kart City! Here, you can also play a round of mini-golf at their majestic and exciting 18-hole Mystic Harbor Course. If that’s not enough, swing for the fences at the only batting cages in the Port Orange area.
There are seven stalls for baseball and softball with spending for all skill levels. If you want to keep the fun going, just 30 minutes up the road is Daytona Lagoon, Daytona Beach’s premier waterpark, and family entertainment center. The park features a full day of fun for the entire family – whether you zap your friends in Lazer Tag, challenge your skills in the MEGA Arcade, take a thrilling plunge down the waterslides, or just relax and float around the lazy river. This park is open year-round and offers something fun for everyone!
