Please join us at Arts on Douglas on Saturday, September 5, from 4-7 PM, for the opening of "Once Upon a Whimsy - Stories in Clay", a new exhibition in the alt_space Gallery by DeLand-based artist Stacia Hollmann. Following her successful exhibition of encaustic photographs at the gallery this past spring, Hollmann returns with a new collection of hand-built ceramic sculptures and encaustic photographs inspired by classic children’s book illustrations, antique toys, fairy tales, and the enduring tradition of folk art. These whimsical creations celebrate innocence, nostalgia, and a quiet magic often overlooked in everyday life.
